prose: written in a couple minutes for this prompt

When I think of light, a few things come to mind. I could write about society's desire to be skinny, which is also healthiest for a human. I could write about Thomas Kincade (sp?), the painter of light, whose art has calmed and inspired many around the world and his devotion to family and love of God. But when I think of light, I also think of humor.

I like to make light of things. I prefer to break the ice with a witty comment, ease the tension by looking at the bright side, or keep things content and happy in life. I don't dwell on the bad things, but look forward to the time when the skies lighten and the outlook gets sunny again.

If you look at my blog right now, you'll see some nature pics, a tribute to the love of my husband, and a doodle that keeps things in perspective with the happy things on top. For the most part my blog tells you that I like to keep things light. I don't think people want to read a depressed person's journal. Well, not unless you were really curious or diagnosing them. :P

See? There's my dry humor! I even make light of the bad things in life! (PS, I edited a part of this where I talked about the dark half of my doodle and decided that wasn't light enough!)
