Motif-wise, it is whatever floats my boat on a given day. My collection of fabrics is small in comparison to some folks' but it is very eclectic! 90% fits in a four drawer lateral file cabinet. In the past though, I have gotten a few colorways of a print now and then. I am also striving to buy 'fabric families' so I have things that coordinate together better.

I do not have any one type that I always would buy, such as you often buy stripes or dots. I USED to do that, but not anymore.

Ok...I am an odd duck! quack quack!!! :D

Guilt is non productive! At least that is what my mom has always told me. You make cool stuff as well. I guess I didn't phrase my question well, because I really meant: What motifs in a fabric collection do you look for?

I was being silly when I posted my first comment. I can't imagine getting a WHOLE fabric collection! And my "must haves" would be money to pay for it and a guilt free conscience. I always feel guilty when I buy material just cuz material is soooooooooo cool to have/own/buy/fondle/cut/create/and enjoy!
