Can You Piece This?

I thought this was an interesting design and thought it would be great challenge to try to piece it. It is from a piece of furniture.

    Thanks for a good idea to Jaye’s readers who see this as a paper piecing project. I have been looking at Californian Indian basket designs and wondering how to convert some to a quilt. When flattened from the basket shape they are often circular designs with the motifs composed from triangles.
