Cheerful Baskets FINISHED!!!

Cheerful Baskets

The Cheerful Baskets is finally finished! I am pretty excited, because this quilt has been long in the making. TFQ had some trouble getting it quilted, so we dropped it off with Colleen in Long Beach and then picked it up at PIQF. She did the most amazing job of quilting it. The quilting is masterful.

TFQ put the binding on (in case I have never said, she is the fastest binder in the universe!) and I just finished with the label and sleeve.

This quilt will go and live at TFQ’s house after I get it photographed. She has a gorgeous periwinkle wall where it will look fabulous.

  1. Frosted Stars and now Cheerful Baskets? Wow – not only are both quilts stunning to me but you have given them such creative names. I’m in Long Beach – is there a Colleen in LB who does long arm quilting? One more thing, you have to help out this new quilter – what is TQF and PIQF? 🙂

    1. Hi Susan,
Frosted Stars is actually the name of the pattern. I usually give the quilts the name I use as I am working on them.

My Colleen is in the Bay Area. We just happened to meet up at the Long Beach show and dropped off the quilt. She does take mail orders, but you have to press your quilt well, not bounce your checks, be specific about your quilting desires and be confident.

TFQ = the fabric queen, a friend of mine
PIQF = Pacific International Quilt Festival, a Mancuso show. You can see my glossary at: https://artquiltmaker.com/blog/artquiltmaker-glossary/
      Thanks for reading!
