Jaye A. H. Lapachet has been a quiltmaker since 1986. She specializes in contemporary quilts and does not usually accept commissions. She has taken numerous art and quiltmaking courses and maintains a studio near San Francisco, California.

Some of Ms. Lapachet's quilts are for sale to special buyers. Prices start at $1,000.00. On all sales, rights for display, derivitive works, copyright and approval on subsequent sales are retained by the artist. Quilts are not suitable for hanging in kitchens or use as table coverings. Quilts committed to shows may not be immediately available for delivery.

This quilt was made for the birth of William J. Lapachet. It is made with Marimekko fabrics. The piece is machine pieced and made from commercial fabrics. It is basted with Stitch Witchery.

"Carousel" (1999)

"Clear Blue" (1999)

Clear Blue was started as an exercise in Angie Woolman's Color Me Blue class in 1997. The task was to use clear blues with a white background only. It was quilted in 1999 after taking Melody Johnson's machine quilting class. [ Larger Image & More Info ]

"Desiree : Goddess of Traffic & Parking" (1999)

"Friday Fishwrap" (1997)

"Get the Red Out!!!" (1998)

Get the Red Out!!!  is a collaboration between Jeanne C. Neptune and Jaye Lapachet. The pattern originally came from the Spring 1997 issue of McCall's Quick Quilting and did not list a name for pattern (only a name for the quilt). [ Larger Image & More Info ]

"House Block Quilt" (1997)

"Star Babies" (1996)

"TNARQ" (1996)
