TaDa!!! Thoughts on Dots COMPLETE

Below is the last iteration of the corner I was working on. It was amazing that when I woke up and looked at it on Sunday morning I REALLY liked the piece. I was lukewarm (and somewhat worried) about it on Saturday, but kept working through it and feel like the work paid off.

I realize that the changes are subtle and those of you in blogland will have to study them to see the differences, but here IRL, there were differences that mattered.

The piece is a monster, so, without help, this is the best photo I could take. I’ll get a better one up.

  1. YEA YEA YEA!!!! it’s wonderful!!! i really like that second picture b/c it gives you a sense of how big it is. i knew you’d said it was big, but i didn’t realize just HOW big! amazing!

  2. Julie: I don’t think I can ever use up all of my blocks. I have an idea for another dot quilt from a recent (?) issue of Quilts and More. It is four giant Feathered Stars all in dots. We will see. That project will have to get in line!

  3. Kristen: Thanks for stopping by! I still hope to put a picture of the entire piece up, but haven’t gotten to it yet. Need some giant men to help me. I don’t think I realized how big it was either!

Julie: I meant DOTS not blocks! DUH!
