Happy Blogiversary!!!!

Yes, today is my 8th blogiversary!

and, of course, sewing. Of course, this is all virtual, since I am probably headed to work as you read this.

Have you been blogging that long?

Are you inspired when you read my blog?

Enjoy the party and let me know if you want me to write about something special during the next year. I can’t promise I will do it, but I will try to be inspired by your request!

  1. I’d love to hear more about your other/previous artistic endeavors, and how/if they run into your quilting. Painting? Sculpting? Other media?

  2. I agree with Pam.

Regarding my own blogging, I am in my second year, listening to podcasts introduced me to the blogging world. I started following yours after hearing the podcasts you did with Sandy.

  3. Congratulations! It’s great being 8! 🙂 You are, of course, inspiring! And I’ll chime in with the others–would love to see what else you’ve been into in the past. Have a great celebration!

  4. Happy Blogiversary! I too agree with Pam. No original thoughts here.
I have been blogging since 2007, but my crafting blog is only 3 years old. My extended family wanted more family stuff and less crafty stuff on the family blog so I “had” to create another blog. Now the family blog is a little sparse in the post area. 🙂
I am inspired when I read your blog, especially the ones you have been doing with the QuiltCon homework essays and any time you share a creative prompt. You have a perspective on things that is sometimes very different from my own and it is refreshing.

    1. Thank you so much! I am so glad you like the essays. I love to write and those essays are very dear to my heart. I know they aren’t as popular, because of the lack of photos, but I can’t stop myself from writing them.

I guess we know what is important in your life (craft v. family) hhmmm. 😉

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.

  5. Happy blogoversary! 8 years seems like a very long time to keep coming up with inspiring words.

I think I’d love to see more process type posts. I look at some of your work and am amazed, wondering how you even thought of that. Kind of like the design talks you’ve done with Sandy, but with a more personal narrative.

Looking forward to what the next year brings!

  6. I agree with AJ, I always leave this blog with a lingering new thought or idea on how to approach things. I love that your posts are full of a variety of content, how to’s, what you are up to, creative prompts, homework essays. How you find the time with all you do is simply amazing. I can barely keep up reading all my favorite blogs, never mind write one. Thank you for making time for us.

  7. Happy blogiversary, Jaye! Like Jackie I started blogging last year and started following you after the interview with Sandy even though I heard you co-hosting with Mark years ago. You are a true inspiration to all of us!

  8. First of all, thank you for putting so much time and effort into a really great blog. It must be the librarian / researcher in you that gives such wonderfully detailed posts on whatever topic is at hand. Of course, I love my CPP posts and I like to see what you’re working on – whatever it is – the how and why of it all. Well sometimes we don’t know why we make something – it just be 🙂

    1. Thanks! I don’t know why I do it, as it does take a lot of time, but I do enjoy it. I have been spending some time on the CPP responses (I am still in the 19xes), but not posting them. I will have to post some soon. I think I have taken photos. Thanks for participating and commenting.
