Octagon 9 Patch - late March 2015
Octagon 9 Patch – late March 2015

More progress on the Octagon 9 Patch. It seems slow, but I see the progress. Compare from last time and let me know what you think.

The 9 patches are not in their final locations. I started to arrange them as I made them, but it was hard to judge progress so now I just put each nine patch in the next open space. I’ll arrange them later.

  1. I should pay closer attention to your blog. I didn’t take note of this quilt before. What a neat pattern! You always use such happy colors…and yes, I can see you’ve made progress. 🙂 I think of you often these days as my studio is a riot of colors! Maybe your colorful self is rubbing off on me. lol
How big are the block units? (the nine-patches especially) I am wondering how fussy these are. lol

    1. The blocks are around 4″ and were sized based on the size of the snowballs (octagons finished with triangles into snowball blocks). They don’t seem fussy, though cutting is a bit of a pain because you don’t cut on a quarter or half inch line, but it is workable.
