I started it in an Adult Education class on learning to quilt at the San Lorenzo Adult School. A friend from work convinced me to take the class. She bailed after one semester and I took the class ($18\/semester!) three times!<\/p>\n<p>Each week, we were assigned a block to make. I made a lot of extras and even make the quilt bigger with spacer blocks. Making this quilt really made me love quiltmaking.<\/p>\n<p>The quilt was hand quilted, mostly at Craft Night, and finished in 2000 after several years in the early 1990s where I didn&#8217;t do much quiltmaking.
