In the <a title=\"Subtractive color\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Subtractive_color\">subtractive color<\/a> system, it is not a <a title=\"Primary color\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Primary_color\">primary color<\/a>, but is created out of a mixture of <a title=\"Yellow\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yellow\">yellow<\/a> and <a title=\"Blue\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue\">blue<\/a>, or yellow and <a title=\"Cyan\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cyan\">cyan<\/a>; it is considered one of the <a title=\"Additive color\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Additive_color\">additive<\/a> primary colors. On the <a title=\"HSV color space\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HSV_color_space\">HSV color wheel<\/a>, also known as the <a title=\"File:RBG color wheel.svg\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:RBG_color_wheel.svg\">RGB color wheel<\/a>, the <a title=\"Complementary color\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Complementary_color\">complement<\/a> of green is <a title=\"Magenta\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magenta\">magenta<\/a>; that is, a <a title=\"Purple\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Purple\">purple<\/a> color corresponding to an equal mixture of <a title=\"Red\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Red\">red<\/a> and <a title=\"Blue\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue\">blue<\/a> light. On a <a title=\"Color wheel\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Color_wheel\">color wheel<\/a> based on traditional color theory (<a title=\"RYB\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/RYB\">RYB<\/a>), the <a title=\"Complementary color\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Complementary_color\">complementary color<\/a> to green is considered to be <a title=\"Red\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Red\">red<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-wheel_4-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Green#cite_note-wheel-4\">[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>The word <em>green<\/em> is closely related to the <a title=\"Old English\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Old_English\">Old English<\/a> verb <em>growan<\/em>, &#8220;to grow&#8221;. It is used to describe plants or the <a title=\"Ocean\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ocean\">ocean<\/a>. Sometimes it can also describe someone who is inexperienced, jealous, or sick. In the United States of America, <em>green<\/em> is a <a title=\"Slang\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Slang\">slang term<\/a> for money, among other things.
