I don&#8217;t remember where I saw the quilt, which is a shame because I would like to document it better than &#8220;I don&#8217;t remember.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There are two color layouts for the Cross Block quilt that appeal to me:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blogger\/_IlKX5cJn1Zk\/Rd_UAAKE0SI\/AAAAAAAAAT4\/Nq9y-SDn-lw\/s1600\/CrossBlock1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5034976004930851106\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: hand;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blogger\/_IlKX5cJn1Zk\/Rd_UAAKE0SI\/AAAAAAAAAT4\/Nq9y-SDn-lw\/s320\/CrossBlock1.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"><\/a><br \/>\nI like this one because the circles really stand out and you can really see the fabric. I don&#8217;t like the way I would have to plan out a bunch of the fabrics in advance (like <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts\/spiky-stars-it2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spiky Stars<\/a>, which worked out well in the end). The other thing that bothers me is the half blocks on the edge. On one hand, they look unfinished. On the other hand they could comprise a self bordering technique border, again like Spiky Stars, that is so effective.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blogger\/_IlKX5cJn1Zk\/Rd_UAAKE0TI\/AAAAAAAAAUA\/AV9CpoazPpQ\/s1600\/CrossBlock2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5034976004930851122\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: hand;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blogger\/_IlKX5cJn1Zk\/Rd_UAAKE0TI\/AAAAAAAAAUA\/AV9CpoazPpQ\/s320\/CrossBlock2.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"><\/a><br \/>\nIn the option above, the blocks would be a lot easier to piece. The crosses really stand out, which is nice, in a way. It looks a lot less interesting than the one above&#8230;a lot more regular.<\/p>\n<p>So, does this count as another project or a way to get some more sewing done when I am not at the machine?
