Almost all parrots nest in tree hollows<\/a> (or nest boxes<\/a> in captivity), and lay white eggs<\/a> from which hatch altricial<\/a> (helpless) young.<\/p>\n Parrots, along with ravens, crows, jays and magpies<\/a>, are among the most intelligent birds, and the ability of some species to imitate human voices<\/a> enhances their popularity as pets<\/a>.
