She contributed a quilt, parts of which look like inside out Flying Geese.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in January, you can help raise money for St. Jude&#8217;s Children&#8217;s Hospital and get a quilt pattern. <a href=\"http:\/\/camilleroskelley.typepad.com\/simplify\/2014\/11\/snapshots.html\" target=\"_blank\">Read about it on Camille Roskelley&#8217;s blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>EQ held a <a href=\"http:\/\/doyoueq.com\/blog\/category\/sew-alongs\/blockbase-sew-along\/\" target=\"_blank\">BlockBase Sew-along<\/a> back in 2012. In writing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/11\/book-review-1001-patchwork-designs\/\" target=\"_blank\">review<\/a> for you, I found it and thought I would share. I would probably get overly ambitious and do something like make all the blocks in a smaller size a la Dear Jane, but this Sew-along is a good start.<\/p>\n<p>You can always use <a title=\"Pillowcase Tutorial\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/pillowcase-tutorial\/\">my pillowcase guidelines<\/a>, but if you want a different experience, take a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/aspoonfulofsugardesigns.com\/2012\/12\/how-to-sew-pillowcase\/\" target=\"_blank\">A Spoonful of Sugar&#8217;s pillowcase design<\/a>. This is a really pretty post as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exhibits and Such<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BAMQG members have quilts inspired by Amish quilts at the San Jose Museum of Quilts &amp; Textiles. There is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/home-garden\/ci_26916589\/antique-amish-quilts-inspire-todays-fabric-artists\" target=\"_blank\">recent, interesting article<\/a> in the San Jose Mercury News, which a friend from Chicago sent me!<\/p>\n<p>Primal Green 2 is on at the San Francisco Public Library. This is the main branch and the exhibit is on the 5th floor. I have three quilts, <a title=\"Beach Town\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2010\/beach-town\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beach Town<\/a>, <a title=\"The Garden AKA Flower Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2013\/the-garden\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flower Garden<\/a> and the <a title=\"Whole Cloth Quilt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2012\/whole-cloth-quilt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Whole Cloth Quilt<\/a> in the show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is such a tough time of year to write a blog. I sometimes wonder why I do it and I realized that I wonder that more during this time of year than other times. I get myself back in a right place in my head and remind myself that I do this writing for myself and my blog has become a great resource for myself!
