I realized that once I cleared out my head, there was more space for other stuff. Guess what happened? More new projects popped into the free space in my head.<\/p>\n<p>I am still not dating these posts, I will just continue to number them. I still like the idea of pretending that time is not passing, so they will just be on the list as I enter them. I still want these posts to be abut the possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Like I said last time, some of these come from the Current Projects list (Hunting and Gathering section). I don\u2019t know if I will keep them there or move them here. Lots to work out, so continue to stay tuned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art Institute of Chicago Fusible Quilt<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: Original<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: Turquoise and red, mainly, but other colors for the leaves and flowers<\/li>\n<li>Steps: need to fuse a bunch of turquoise to some piece of fabric in the &#8216;ticker tape&#8217; style. I am thinking of making it similar to the <a title=\"Whole Cloth Quilt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2012\/whole-cloth-quilt\/\">Whole Cloth Quilt<\/a> and using red, again, for the background.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/various-sundry-saturday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Basketweave Baby<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: Scrappy<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: Fons &amp; Porter, <a href=\"http:\/\/video.fonsandporter.com\/videos\/2097_baby-quilts-with-three-dimensional-effects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series 1000, episode 1005<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I like the challenge of piecing this quilt and the unique piecing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Blue Gradation Quilt<\/strong> (Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: blue 2.5\u00d74.5 rectangles<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: similar to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/finished-done-complete\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FOTY 2008<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Blue Lemonade<\/strong>&nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: blue, purple and green scrappy<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: inspiration from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/pink-and-blue-lemonade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TFQ\u2019s Pink Lemonade quilt<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Easy Street<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: pinks<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: Easy Street by Bonnie Hunter<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I really liked <a href=\"http:\/\/ldq.outlandishthreads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daisy<\/a>\u2018s version of Easy Street, which she calls <a href=\"http:\/\/ldq.outlandishthreads.com\/?p=346\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cherry Bomb<\/a> (she thinks of the best names for quilts) in terms of color and feel. I don\u2019t want to copy her, but if I do this quilt, I\u2019d like to have the same pinky-red feel to it. One challenge about a mostly monochromatic quilt is getting enough contrast. I look forward to that challenge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Food quilt #2<\/strong> &nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: Disappearing 9 patch<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: RJR Food prints. Will use a different color for the non-food print section than I did for the Young Man\u2019s version.<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: Gift for son of good friends for graduation. I have started cutting for this in a serious way. I just need to figure out alternate colors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Food quilt #3<\/strong>&nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: Disappearing something, probably 4 patch or 9 patch<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: RJR Food prints. Will use a different color for the non-food print section than I did for the Young Man\u2019s version.<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: Gift for nephew for graduation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Half Moon Modern Quilt<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: I have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/half-moon-modern-possibilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">some ideas<\/a>, but nothing definite<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: Half Moon Modern Fabrics. I have half yard cuts, I think, plus some odds and ends and I\u2019d like to use them together with some additional fabrics, or, at least a background.<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I do think it is difficult to start with fabrics rather than a pattern.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Music Quilt<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pattern: Don\u2019t know<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: music prints and tone-on-tones<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: The Young Man has requested this quilt as his graduation quilt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Neutrals and Red\/Scarlet Quilt<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: Sew two ~3&#8243;x3&#8243; squares together, slice each separate fabric and insert a red strip, resew and sew the two squares to another set of squares.<\/li>\n<li>Fabric: neutrals+white, black and whites. I have some of these. I bought them not know what to do with them.<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: gift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pineapple<\/strong>&nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: dots. Have most of the strips cut. Will be much more selective about which strips I use.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: Pineapple log cabin<\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I haven\u2019t given up on a Pineapple quilt despite my frustration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/pineapple-redux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous attempt<\/a>. I bought a different ruler: a Creative Grids Pineapple ruler in hopes that it will work better for me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pink Gradation Quilt<\/strong>&nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: pink 2.5\u00d74.5 rectangles<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: similar to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/finished-done-complete\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FOTY 2008<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scrapitude #2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: scrappy again, but with NO browns or blacks or super darks that look like holes; also more blues and perhaps a different background, though I do like the dots on bright white. I would make sure to skip the dots with a cream background.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: <a href=\"http:\/\/quiltingfortherestofus.com\/blog?category=Scrapitude+Mystery+Quilt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scrapitude<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/scrapitudequilts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Hawkes<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I want to try and figure out how to make the edges NOT on the bias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Silk Colorblock quilt<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabrics: silk dupioni and cotton in brights (of course)<\/li>\n<li>Pattern: Similar to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/series-quilts\/colorblock-quilts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorblocks 2<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thoughts: I have made a couple of, what I call, Colorblock quilts over the years. One was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/finished-kona-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kona Challenge<\/a> in 2011, another was my 1990 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/series-quilts\/colorblock-quilts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorblocks 2<\/a> and the first one, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/series-quilts\/colorblock-quilts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorblocks<\/a>, also made in about 1990. I bought the fabrics at the Marin Needlearts show about a zillion years ago and they have languished waiting for me to learn to back them so I can use them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Spin Wheel<\/strong> &nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pattern: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fonsandporter.com\/articles\/spin_wheel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fons &amp; Porter Spin Wheel<\/a>, 1200 series, <a href=\"http:\/\/video.fonsandporter.com\/videos\/2119_conjoining-blocks-and-pyramid-triangles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">episode 1201<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Fabric: Scrappy with controlled scrappy background<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/stepping-stones-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stepping Stones #2<\/a> <\/strong>&nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: Bonnie &amp; Camille fabrics Bliss, Ruby, Vintage Modern: made <a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/stepping-stones-thoughts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two test blocks<\/a>, but still in the thinking stage while I decide on the background colors. I want the contrast to be good.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stepping Stones #3<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: Macaron pre-cuts from Hoffman. It isn\u2019t started, but I have lots of pre-cuts and think they would make a really fun version of this quilt.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/windmill-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windmill<\/a><\/strong> &nbsp;(Hunting and Gathering)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fabric: Scrappy. I will use a grey for the background, because if I use more of the cut fabric patches, the pattern will be lost.
