This post is about selecting colors and should have been posted after part 1<\/a> of the Basket tutorial. I didn’t think of it until I was almost done with Basket tutorial part 2<\/a>. C’est la vie.<\/p>\n

I ended up wanting the fabric choices to be similar to the EQ rendering<\/a>. May seem lame or small minded, but it is what it is.<\/p>\n

\"Stitch<\/a>
Stitch Blue<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The above is fabric I used for the other half of the HSTs. I wanted to match that fabric, but it didn’t work. The stitch fabric blends into the background too much, so I had to figure something else out.<\/p>\n

The above snowflake fabric is good, but I was concerned that the snowflake fabric might look too Christmasy.<\/p>\n

The above fabric selection is what I finally decided upon. The stripe is good, because it is a different motif than any of the others already in the block. The white also stands out a bit from the blues. If I had used a blue with a white dot like the EQ rendering then one of the others might have been ok, but this stripe works well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
