It takes the form of a multicoloured <a title=\"Arc (geometry)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arc_%28geometry%29\">arc<\/a>. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.<\/p>\n<p>Rainbows can be full circles; however, the average observer sees only an arc formed by illuminated droplets above the ground,<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rainbow#cite_note-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> and centred on a line from the sun to the observer&#8217;s eye.<\/p>\n<p>In a primary rainbow, the arc shows red on the outer part and violet on the inner side. This rainbow is caused by light being <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Refracted\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Refracted\">refracted<\/a> (bent) when entering a droplet of water, then reflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it.<\/p>\n<p>In a double rainbow, a second arc is seen outside the primary arc, and has the order of its colours reversed, with red on the inner side of the arc.&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rainbow\" target=\"_blank\">Wikipedia<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"st\">What if the universe had no beginning, and time stretched back infinitely without a big bang to start things off?
