I was able to finish the top, the back and the binding. It occurred to me that I should make a Frankenbatting as well. I decided to move along by sewing together as much of the top as I could. After putting the entire top together, I found that the corners I had made and discarded actually fit in the corner spot. I was pleased and shocked to see how much the quilt shrunk up when I sewed it together. After all of these years, I shouldn&#8217;t be surprised, but I was. I am not sure that using the ruler was the easiest way to get to the finish.
