I didn&#8217;t do any writing, which I think I should.  I found a picture of a fabric flower (fusing probably) in a catalog and have had it pinned to my design wall for ages. I thought of creating an applique&#8217;, but never did. I still have the CPS article in my mind and my drawings look very different.
