The most recent instance of writing about it that I could find was last year when I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/thinking-about-lozenges-again\/\" target=\"_blank\">wrote about seeing the shape crop up<\/a> everywhere. I thought I had put it on my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/dream-projects-5\/\" target=\"_blank\">dream projects<\/a> or future projects list, but I don&#8217;t see it there.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I took the Mostly Manor Layer Cake that I bought with Julie and one of the Northcott white charm packs and got to work sewing the charm squares on to the Layer cake squares.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_34908\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-34908\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DSCN1628sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-34908\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DSCN1628sm-300x238.jpg\" alt=\"Lozenge quilt, first look\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DSCN1628sm-300x238.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DSCN1628sm-768x609.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DSCN1628sm.jpg 955w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-34908\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lozenge quilt, first look<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The work is easy and this is a leaders and enders project, but it is coming out ok. I hope I notice when it is finished.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to split the lozenges in half on the diagonal and sew them back together with other fabric halves. I think it will be more interesting.<\/p>\n<p>I am not a huge fan of the fabric. I think I mostly liked the large roses prints. Still, it should be a fun experiment. I&#8217;ll have to figure out what to do with it as I don&#8217;t need it laying around.
