This means I am continuing to finish projects and tidying up my workroom. I spent time the week before last reorganizing some in process projects and putting the parts into bins. I don&#8217;t have a lot of space in my fabric closet for project bins, but making some space allows me greater access to my fabric. He put the binding on at March&#8217;s Sew Day<\/li>\n<li>Mostly Manor HST top and back \u2013 ready for quilting by Tim<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In Process<\/strong><br \/>\nThe\u00a0 \u2018In Process\u2019 is used to denote projects on which I am actively working or pretending to stitch. I try not to put away projects, because that will ensure I never work on them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/improv-round-robin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BAMaQG IRR<\/a>\u00a0\u2013The top is done and I am working on the back in preparation for quilting<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"EPP Stars\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/epp-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">English Paper Piecing Project<\/a>\u2013 half hexies \u2013 I have mostly been knitting while I watch TV, but I did make some half hexies in anticipation of making another star<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/02\/stepping-stones-n-2-on-the-wall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stepping Stones #2<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 This quilt was on the design wall, but I took it off to work on the BAMaQG IRR. I need to cutmore patches and sew more border blocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Still WIPs<\/strong><br \/>\nI still have WIPs. Who doesn\u2019t, after all? A project in the \u2018UFO\u2019 category means I am stalled. A nicer way of saying UFO is a WIP. The list is a lot shorter and the projects are newer, for the most part.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/2011\/07\/sampler-quilt-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aqua-Red Sampler<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 I need to lay the blocks out and put the piece together.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/bamqg-round-robin-returns-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BAMaQG Color Round Robin<\/a> \u2013 no progress.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/city-sampler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">City Sampler<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/12\/city-sampler-continued\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blocks all made<\/a>. Need to sash the blocks and put the top together. Due to some issues I had with my seam allowance, some of the blocks are smaller than others, so I will have to adjust them in some way \u2013 either ripping and resewing, adding a piece or two to the block or with sashing. This is sort of a sticking point and while I consider this quilt \u2018in process\u2019 I hadn\u2019t worked on it in awhile until I took the blocks to the BAM Sew Day and started measuring. Once I know what I am facing for each block, I can move forward<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/fabric-of-the-year-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FOTY 2017<\/a> \u2013 pieces cut. Need to layout and start piecing.<\/li>\n<li>Handbag Sampler \u2013 this is a project about which I had forgotten. I actually don\u2019t know exactly where the blocks are, but I have an idea and will crawl up in the far reaches of my fabric closet soon and see if I can find them.I haven\u2019t even found a picture of all the blocks. The blocks were teaching samples when I taught a sampler class the time before I started writing the quilt class sampler <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/aq-projects-tutorials\/aq-tutorials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tutorials<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/12\/lobster-placemat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lobster<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 I still have more stitching to do and then I need to quilt it.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/09\/octagon-9-patch-returns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Octagon 9 Patch<\/a>: In the past week or so, I have started to sew pairs together as leaders and enders. I am not convinced this is a great idea, but I want to make progress, so I will make it work.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/pointillist-palette-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pointillist Palette #4<\/a>: Fourth is a series of 6 quilts; needs tiny square patches sewn together. No progress.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/quiltcon-day-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pies and Points<\/a>\u00a0from Victoria Findlay Wolfe class. No further progress. I need to focus on this and it is not up high enough on the list yet.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3198\/262\/1600\/Portrait.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Self Portrait<\/a>: started in 2006 at a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2006\/06\/pamelala-teaches-at-quilting-adventures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">class at Quilting Adventures<\/a>\u00a0in Richmond, Virginia. I am stalled on this again. Again, I didn\u2019t capitalize on the excitement I got from my career counselor and now the feeling is lost.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Serendipity Lady Starts\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/03\/serendipity-lady-starts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Serendipity Lady Quilt<\/a>: no progress.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/pamela-cqfa-2\/pict3895sm1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Under the Sea<\/a>: class project; like the design and am happier with the colors. I had an idea for it, which didn\u2019t end up working out. I would like to finish it soon.<\/li>\n<li>Black and Red quilt \u2013 This came about because of two other projects. I made a whole bunch of bias tape as part of my failed attempt at doing the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/mighty-lucky-january-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mighty Lucky Club<\/a> a few years ago. Another part of the inspiration came from my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/improv-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">class<\/a> with Tina of Little Blue Cottage fame. This was going to be for a nephew, but I think it will be for one of my SILs and BILs. I have rectangles cut and some bias tape ready. My next step is to sew the bias tape to the rectangles like pickup sticks. I don\u2019t have any photos of this, so you\u2019ll have to trust me.<\/li>\n<li>Half Rectangle donation quilt \u2013 I want to work with half rectangles and the 16 patches we make for the guild. I have the blocks made and the cool ruler I thought would work for this project. Now I need to gather the fabric and just do it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Small Projects in Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 gift Sew Together Bags- most of the fabric is cut , the zippers are purchased and I am ready to sew<\/li>\n<li>Another Sew Together Bag for me \u2013 the fabric is cut, the zippers are purchased and I am ready to sew<\/li>\n<li>1 gift Sew Together Bag as a gift \u2013 nothing cut<\/li>\n<li>Mel Beach quilted piece \u2013 I want to make it into a pillow cover<\/li>\n<li>Tool Tote &#8211; I bought the pattern at QuiltCon and started cutting it out at Sew Day in March<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ready for Quilting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>nothing right now<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In Quilting Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2017\/12\/en-provence-top-finished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">En Provence<\/a> \u2013 at Colleen\u2019s. She hasn\u2019t quilted it yet, because we can find the right color thread for the blue.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/02\/foty-2016-ready-to-quilt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FOTY 2016<\/a>\u2013 Finished piecing and is at the quilter<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/thanksgiving-decorations\/20150901_220325-1sm-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thanksgiving tablemat<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 I have the correct feet and just need to get busy.<\/li>\n<li>Theoretically, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/02\/tbt-early-tarts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tarts Come to Tea<\/a>\u00a0is in the quilting process, though I haven\u2019t worked on it in a while.\u00a0 See above.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/02\/triple-star-top-finished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Triple Star<\/a> \u2013 Finished piecing and is at the quilter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Binding<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/02\/ta-dots-and-stripes-top-finished-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ta Dots &amp; Stripes Quilt<\/a> (was called last time Dots &amp; Stripes HST Quilt (or Something) ) \u2013 Finished quilting and is ready to be bound<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/01\/planned-improv-top\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Planned Improv<\/a> \u2013 Finished quilting and is in the binding process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hunting and Gathering<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/quilt-inspiration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">30 Something<\/a>: I am still cutting 1.5 inch squares. I am pretty sure I have the 800 I need, but I am not ready to sew them together yet, so whenever I have a chance I cut more I cut more. It will give me choice when the time comes. I\u2019ll have to think up a new name, too. My next step will be to figure out if I need to cut other sizes of squares and switch from cutting 1.5? squares to cutting the new size.<\/li>\n<li>Blue Gradation Quilt: cutting 2.5 inch x 4.5 inch blue rectangles. It has to end sometime. I wasn\u2019t sure I was ready to put this together, but I think I am. I might do a couple of gradation quilts in a row just to get the practice.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/pink-and-blue-lemonade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blue Lemonade<\/a>: cutting blue, green, purple 2 inch squares. I used a lot of these squares for En Provence, so I am slowly cutting more.<\/li>\n<li>Pink Gradation Quilt: cutting 2.5 inch x 4.5 inch pink rectangles<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/hooked-on-hexagons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spin Wheel<\/a>: really not started, but supplies gathered. I might have to cut some more background fabrics. I probably have enough fabrics and just need to decide to start.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/windmill-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windmill<\/a>\u00a0quilt: Still hunting and gathering. I am supposed to be cutting a variety of greys for the background, which required the purchase of a new template. I should be able to get going again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stepping Stones #3 using the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/and-in-other-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Macaron pre-cuts from Hoffman<\/a>. I have all the fabric in pre-cuts and am just waiting for space (and desire) in my schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019ve used just under 30.5 yards of fabric so far this year.
