I already talked about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/meeting-inspiration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alison&#8217;s blocks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/ends-quilt-n-2-finished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tim&#8217;s quilting<\/a>. Liz is a new-ish member and she brought her star quilt.<\/p>\n<p>This quilt reminds me of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2014\/star-sampler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Star Sampler<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things I liked about this quilt is that there are a lot of half square triangles that make secondary designs. The half square triangles also make up the border. This is a great self bordering border!<\/p>\n<p>I also like that there are four patches. This tells me I could use leaders and enders if I want to make this quilt.<\/p>\n<p>There really is a lot to like about this quilt including the stars within stars.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I get a lot out of the guild meetings and the April meeting was no exception.
