{"id":4472,"date":"2010-02-24T07:46:59","date_gmt":"2010-02-24T14:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/?p=4472"},"modified":"2016-11-08T22:33:43","modified_gmt":"2016-11-09T05:33:43","slug":"sketching-50","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/sketching-50\/","title":{"rendered":"Sketching #50"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I took art classes in college I always enjoyed contour drawing.\u00a0 Contour drawing is where you look at the object you are drawing and NOT at your paper.<\/p>\n<p>I got quite good at it and decided that I would use that technique for my <a href=\"http:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/creative-prompt-50\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inspiration drawing<\/a>. It took me awhile to actually get to it and when I finally did I just sat down and drew with what I had &#8211; no fancy drawing book or paper or pen. I am out of practice using this technique.
