I really enjoyed this post!<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reed.edu\/reed-magazine\/articles\/2016\/irena-swanons-math-quilts.html?fbclid=IwAR1C7FOP-u76mq-irOfhsfoMXSp8M074QokmyLUXvfNDQUZVMhSNHcxVqnE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> discusses a math professor who developed a new way of piecing called &#8216;tube piecing&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The ladies from Sew Kind of Wonderful went on a quilting cruise. They have <a href=\"https:\/\/sewkindofwonderful.com\/blogs\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">some tips<\/a> on what to bring to add to your comfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Projects, Patterns &amp; Tutorials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barbara Brackman has posted the next blocks in her Daredevils QAL, <a href=\"http:\/\/barbarabrackman.blogspot.com\/2019\/09\/daredevils-6-willas-wheel.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Willa&#8217;s Wheel<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/barbarabrackman.blogspot.com\/2019\/09\/daredevils-block-8-ruths-compass.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ruth&#8217;s Compass<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/barbarabrackman.blogspot.com\/2019\/09\/daredevils-7-harriets-star.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harriet&#8217;s Star<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/barbarabrackman.blogspot.com\/2019\/09\/daredevils-block-9-florenes-9-patch.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Florene&#8217;s 9Patch<\/a> looks like a block that could be made with the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VunrUg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quick Curve Ruler<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing Flying Around and taking it to be quilted, I am thinking of my next project. By a circuitous route I ended up on the Jen Kingwell site and saw her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jenkingwelldesigns.com\/shop\/c\/p\/State-Fair-Acrylic-Template-Only-ATO-by-Jen-Kingwell-x36947955.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">State Fair pattern<\/a> made in dots. I know from my experience with <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/testing-for-ring-toss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ring Toss<\/a> that having templates would be better, but I don&#8217;t want to buy the templates. What I want is for my <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2019\/01\/jen-carlton-bailly-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jen Carlton Bailly templates<\/a> to work for this pattern. Or the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2newwng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quick Curve Ruler<\/a>? Could I use that? Testing is required. I just want to make something fast. I don&#8217;t want to test (she says <em>now<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be late to the party, but you can still play along with <a href=\"https:\/\/christaquilts.com\/2019\/08\/29\/infrastructure-supply-list-and-quilt-along-links\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Christa Watson&#8217;s Infrastructure<\/a> QAL.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inspiration and Ideas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Miss Lottie is back from her travels in North America and blogging again.
