Life is busy right at the moment. I’ll get back on track next week. In the meantime, I read an article<\/a>* in the Wall Street Journal about Julianne Moore called “Julianne Moore is fighting for safer kids.” The article is by Jason Gay, and was posted Nov. 6, 2019 8:34 am ET<\/p>\n

“I ask Moore about winning her Oscar, and what it meant\u2014if, after being nominated four times, including twice in 2003, for supporting actress in The Hours<\/em> and best actress in Far From Heaven<\/em>, it loomed, perhaps heavily, as a goal. \u201cYou can\u2019t have it as a goal,\u201d she says. \u201cIt can\u2019t be. It\u2019s a marker. I remember somebody asked Jodie Foster about winning an Oscar, and she said, \u2018Oh, my God, it was such a relief.\u2019 \u201d Moore smiles. \u201cI laughed, because that is how it feels. You have to work for the work. You have to like the process and like doing it because you like doing it<\/strong>. And yet our culture has these competitions and these prizes\u2026so on one hand, it feels like, Phew<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
