The other day, we made <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/ucab-sm-front-pocket-tute-pt1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the center zipper section<\/a>. These Clippy Pockets will be placed on either side of the center zipper section. The pleats hold your WonderClips. <em>The Clippy Pocket is not part of Quiltessa Natalie&#8217;s original pattern<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the original pincushion instructions, from which this tutorial evolved, in Love of Patchwork &amp; Quilting, issue 39. It is available digitally in the Apple and Google Play stores. The same pincushion pattern is available in the book <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ec0y3c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">50 Little Gifts<\/a>** from Lucky Spool.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Supplies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clover <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/33dY264\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chalkoliner<\/a>**<\/li>\n<li>Corner poker (wooden knitting needle, skewer, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Creative Grids <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/30eWmIh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4.5&#8243; x 8.5&#8243; ruler<\/a>**<\/li>\n<li>Double-fold elastic (or twill tape)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poconosewandvac.com\/products\/other-parts\/hump-jumper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hump Jumper<\/a> (helps deal with thick layers)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3v7p3oP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sewline<\/a> pencil**<\/li>\n<li>Large <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/30iUbn2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WonderClips<\/a>**<\/li>\n<li>SF101 \u2013 add this to whatever section you think needs it. I added it to P4 to add some stability to the Clippy Pocket<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3hc4tiz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Post-it<\/a> Notes** (really, you can use any post-it notes. I just like the shape and color of these. They will go on each side of the <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/ucab-sm-front-pocket-tute-pt1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">center zipper\/mesh pocket<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can make four and put more Clippy Pockets on the back, if you want. We won&#8217;t do this in this tutorial, but it is an option.<\/p>\n<p>You will need P4 and all the pieces for the Clippy Pocket, v.2.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippy Pocket section is inserted on the bottom of pattern pg.13.
