You might remember that I made <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/metroscape\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Metroscape<\/a>** a few years ago with this ruler.<\/p>\n<p>I showed the quilt that <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2023\/05\/bam-retreat-other-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amy made at the Retreat using the Metro Twist pattern<\/a> in a previous post.The colors she used and the curves made this a very popular project at the Retreat.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59441\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59441\" style=\"width: 237px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20230603_180628_wm-sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-59441\" src=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20230603_180628_wm-sm-237x300.jpg\" alt=\"Amy's Metro Twist\" width=\"237\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20230603_180628_wm-sm-237x300.jpg 237w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20230603_180628_wm-sm-768x973.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20230603_180628_wm-sm.jpg 802w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 85vw, 237px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59441\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Amy&#8217;s Metro Twist<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the last Sew Day, she was putting on borders and preparing the top for quilting. I was able to take a photo of the quilt and it looks great!<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t really realize how popular this project was until I heard that Amy will be teaching the guild how to make it at the next Super Sew Day, in July. I also had a clue when Mary C said that a bunch of people bought the pattern and the ruler after seeing Amy&#8217;s quilt.<\/p>\n<p>I talked to Amy and offered to help her teach. She hasn&#8217;t told me what she needs me to do yet, but I am kind of excited about it. I really need to find some fabrics I want to use. I love Amy&#8217;s choices of Tiny Dots and Tiny Stripes, but I don&#8217;t want to copy what she did.<\/p>\n<p>The quilt on the cover of the pattern isn&#8217;t super appealing and I don&#8217;t think the Tula All Stars (if even still available) would work for this pattern.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>**Obviously, you should shop at local quilt shops and small businesses.
