I am pretty excited even though I still have a long way to go to finish it.<\/p>\n<p>I rushed to get a photo as I went to bed, so it isn&#8217;t the best photo. You can see some of the details in the <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2023\/07\/half-hexie-star-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> I published before.<\/p>\n<p>I have been working on this quilt since <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/now-it-is-later\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">August of 2012<\/a>! I thought I had started it in 2016. Time really flies.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t tell you how pleased I am to have made it this far! Assuming I can get the piece prepped to be quilted and make a date with Colleen, I will enter this in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bayareamodernquilting.com\/services-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President&#8217;s Challenge for the guild<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finished this top last night!
