Donation Quilts<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>As you know, I don&#8217;t quilt much. I really enjoy the collaborative effort of making a top and allowing someone else to quilt it. Who doesn\u2019t, after all? A project in the \u2018UFO\u2019 category means I am stalled, it hasn\u2019t been worked on in awhile or it is waiting its turn to be worked on. The list is a lot shorter and the projects are newer, for the most part.<\/p>\n<p>I am annoyed that some of these are still WIPs. I have to give myself credit for completing some of them last year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La Passacaglia &#8211; I am working on the border, but need to work more and harder.<\/li>\n<li>Retreat Organizer \u2013 another project from the Crafty Gemini Organizer Club, also on my list. I have started it, but stopped when I started thinking about whether to embellishing the straps.<\/li>\n<li>Rose Petrillo bag \u2013 I found the pieces for this bag cut out, but not sewn.<\/li>\n<li>Superbloom tote using Hindsight fabric \u2013 not started. I did pull the fabric, supplies and found a photo I plan to use as inspiration that others posted, so I am one step closer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/handbag-sampler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Handbag Sampler<\/a> \u2013 this is still the forgotten project. I found one block in the not-too-distant past, but otherwise I don\u2019t actually know exactly where the blocks are hiding. I crawled up in the far reaches of my <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/pict3779sm.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fabric closet<\/a> to see if I could find them and they weren\u2019t where I thought. I am sort of mystified as to where they could be. I haven\u2019t even found a picture of all the blocks. WTH?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Portrait.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Self Portrait<\/a>: started in 2006 at a <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2006\/06\/pamelala-teaches-at-quilting-adventures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">class at Quilting Adventures<\/a> in Richmond, Virginia. After a brief burst of inspiration, I am stalled on this again. As one of my oldest (I am pretty sure) UFOs, I put it on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/whats-your-oldest-ufo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my blog<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/artquiltmaker\/status\/987744235699879942\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">out into the Twitterverse<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ddrquilter\/status\/987747460075458560\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diane suggested that I not consider this as a self portrait<\/a>. I think that strategy is a great idea. I am now trying to think of a new persona for her.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/serendipity-lady\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Serendipity Lady<\/a> \u2013 I am still planning to take this piece to be framed. It might need a bit of quilting first.<\/li>\n<li>Fabric of the Year 2020<\/li>\n<li>Fabric of the Year 2021 \u2013 I may combine 2020 and 2021 into a COVID edition.<\/li>\n<li>Fabric of the Year 2022 &#8211; yes, I added this one to the list, but this is the last one I plan to do.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finished 2024 Quilt Projects None so far.
