And, sadly, I don&#8217;t remember where I got it.<\/p>\n<p>It is really interesting in a couple of ways. First the layout is quite unique and reminds me of some of the innovative designs that were NOT selected for the 1933 World&#8217;s Fair.<\/p>\n<p>The fabrics in the circles are also interesting. they look like 1930s or 1940s fabrics. Not sure. I could ask TFQ.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_62362\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-62362\" style=\"width: 278px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183258_wm-sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-62362\" src=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183258_wm-sm-278x300.jpg\" alt=\"Eye of God block\" width=\"278\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183258_wm-sm-278x300.jpg 278w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183258_wm-sm-768x827.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183258_wm-sm.jpg 802w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 278px) 85vw, 278px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-62362\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eye of God block<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I am pretty sure this is a leftover block from the <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/quilts-2\/quilts-2005-2009\/eye-of-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eye of God quilt<\/a>. The Eye of God was begun in a class in July 2004 with Virginia Schnalle through <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/tag\/cqfa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CQFA<\/a>. It was one of the first improv type piecing classes I took and I think the quilt was really successful. This blocks has an interesting feeling of spirals because of the way I placed the fabric.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose I could make this into a pillow. I don&#8217;t really need another pillow on my couch, but perhaps as a gift?<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_62364\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-62364\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183218_wm-sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-62364\" src=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183218_wm-sm-295x300.jpg\" alt=\"Passionate Purple block?\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183218_wm-sm-295x300.jpg 295w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183218_wm-sm-768x780.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/20240406_183218_wm-sm.jpg 802w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 295px) 85vw, 295px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-62364\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Passionate Purple block?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Finally, this block has a really subtle color scheme. Even though it is not a group I would normally use, it is very successful.<\/p>\n<p>It has to be a leftover block from the Passionate Purple quilt, which means that some of the circles came from AJA and Julie.<\/p>\n<p>As with the other blocks, I am not sure what to do with these.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These three blocks are the last blocks I found from the batch with the Handbag Sampler.
