I actually emailed Sara Lawson from Sew Sweetness about it. She said it was new to her. I really like the technique, because it makes zipper tabs really easy and you don&#8217;t have bits sticking out as you do when you fold them.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note this is not a tutorial<\/em>. I am just showing a technique you can try. It is well explained in the Stella Pouch pattern. Do not catch the zipper tape in the stitching. I even tried my awesome Modern American Vintage <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2021\/11\/new-turning-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">turning tool<\/a>. It was a little large for the job. I wonder if they have a smaller version? It makes the technique really crisp and clean. Of course, if the zipper is sticking out like in the <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2022\/07\/french-cotton-candy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cotton Candy pouch<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2022\/01\/gift-7-boxy-clear-pouch-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boxy Clear pouch<\/a>, then a different technique needs to be used.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was very pleased to learn a new zipper tab technique after working on the Stella Pouch.
