I think it looks much better small. The 12 inch size just looks like it has too much fabric, though a 12 inch block with the star made from a blowsy, large flower fabric might work better.<\/p>\n<p>I do think that using the Friendship Stars as cornerstones, like a <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2023\/01\/first-finish-2023-friendship-star\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donation quilt<\/a> I made, works well.<\/p>\n<p>The best use of Friendship Stars I have found is making a wreath out of them. I got <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/flying-geese-design-thoughts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inspired by Camille Roskelly<\/a> and then made <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/flying-around-finished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flying Around<\/a> using the Friendship Star wreaths. I&#8217;d like to make one for this project.
