Repair is a bit of an exaggeration as I just appliqued a piece of ribbon on the edge and called it done.<\/p>\n<p>I was inspired after reading a novel about debutante balls. It made me think of the trim around those ballgown\/ tea dress types of dresses. I am not sure of the era in which my lady resides, but I thought it was an appropriate way to fix <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260417_144425_wm-sm.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the tear<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am not going to be able to finish this piece before today&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/artquiltmaker.com\/blog\/2026\/01\/guild-ufo-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UFO Challenge<\/a> deadline. I really wasn&#8217;t inspired about the quilting and I don&#8217;t know my machine well enough to do the careful work I do know I want to do. I have kept up pretty well and am excited for the next project. I am not giving up on finishing Serendipity Lady.
