I finalized the Bags page<\/a>. I also created a page with other types of projects<\/a>. It was fun to go back and look at my first efforts.<\/p>\n

I saw the Garden Pathways<\/a> pattern made into a quilt at the Wisconsin show. I am thinking about making it. I have a million 2.5 inch squares, so would only have to cut the background.<\/p>\n

The guild had a diagonal seam demo at the last meeting. It was a great way to extend a length of fabric to fit a back. There is a calculator on the Quilter’s Paradise page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Quarter Rectangle Triangle is the hot new shape or block, apparently. I first saw it on the technique sheet advertised by Studio 180 Designs \/ Deb Tucker<\/a>. Right after I received the technique sheet, Mitzi of Jittery Wings came out with a pattern and a ruler called the Beeliner<\/a>. The other day I got an email from Latifah Saafir with a video<\/a> called QRTs Made Easy: How to make perfect Quarter Rectangle Triangles with the HuRTy.  Geometriquilt shows some cool designs<\/a> made with the HuRTy. I found a number of other sites talking about the Quarter Rectangle Triangle.<\/p>\n

Goldenrod Craft Co<\/a> is a PDF Sewing Pattern Printing company. It enables you to avoid the endless taping of paper patterns. I haven’t tried this company, but it is a great idea and I want to try.<\/p>\n

My friend shared Amy MacCready’s shop<\/a> on Spoonflower with me.<\/p>\n

I recently bought some batting and it was over $60! I was shocked at the price. It made me even more thankful that my longarmer includes the price of the batting in her fee.<\/p>\n

Events, Exhibits and Organizations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quiltfest Northwest 2026 will be held October 8-10 at the Clark County Event Center, 10am-4pm. At 54,000 sq ft, Quiltfest Northwest is the LARGEST indoor quilt show in the Pacific Northwest with over 500 quilts, vendors and more. Located at the Clark County Event Center and presented by the Clark County Quilters of Vancouver, Washington. The judged show includes special and guest exhibits, a vendor mall, door prizes, the Cherrywood Challenge and more!<\/span><\/p>\n
