What Could Be Better Than Red?*
From the inspiration department:
Big Chill Fridge. They come in a number of different colors, much more interesting than stainless.
The above are two blocks I made for group quilts. I sent them off today as well as made them! I know it is Friday and I never sew on Friday, but I was hitting the deadline wall and just had to do it and send them.
*Blue is always better than red during football season, but we are not talking about football season here.

Critters on Etsy
I saw these plush critters on Etsy. While I like the “wild abandon design,” I also like the color choices. The red and blue critter doesn’t look too Fourth of July-ish and the pink and green is just the right shade not to be too preppy. I am also enamoured with the stitching. I have often struggled with how to put stuffed items (mostly pillows) together and have them look good. This London artist does it very well.

This is a photo taken from the observation room in the deYoung tower. It is to the front and east of the entrance. I like the big circle, which is a pond and other other oval-ish shapes.
More Inspiration
This is a group of vases of flowers I saw today at the Ritz-Carleton in San Francisco. It was a wintery arrangement, but not grey or depressing. I like the different heights of the vases and the flowers. I also liked the ingenious use of the citrus branches.
More tulips! I love them, but never grow them.

I spent the day in Berkeley walking around. It was a beautiful day, even if a little windy at times. I saw many cool things that were great inspiration, but these were the ones of which I took photos. What can you make with them? I love Red Shoe Rambling’s Art Shot of the Day. When I saw the above photo AND had my camera with me, I knew the Blog Goddess was smiling on me and snapped a shot. I like the white with little bits of turquoise and lime green.
