Story
I saw this quilt pattern by Camille Roskelley somewhere and became intrigued by the block pattern. I thought that the original 24″ size was too big of a block for me, so using EQ7, I resized the block down to 16″. I made the first block using Triangle Squares as Ms. Roskelley suggests. I thought that her method was a little too time consuming and had too many pieces and made the seams stand out too much. I re-imagined the piecing with fewer seams.
I really didn’t intend to make a quilt, but I kept wanting to try different color and fabric combinations. I also played a bit with negative space in this quilt. Finally, I had enough blocks to make a quilt, so I thought had better take the plunge.
