Ice skates immediately came to mind when I posted this prompt. It took me a long time to finally get them to sort of look like skates.

Response to Pair Creative Prompt.

I like SherriD’s response much better than mine, but I was on a roll, so here it is. Part of my unhappiness has to do with the size of the paper and the consistency I want to keep in the drawings. I may do another response to this prompt. We will see. Enjoy!

That umbrella keeps appearing. I really like the idea of sitting under an umbrella on the sidewalk, in a cafe’. I never have found the reality to be quite as wonderful as the idea, though.

Last week Jill mentioned the crack in one of her comments. That comment brought this response to life. I think I could have made the stem a bit taller. I may draw it again with a taller stem, but we will see.
