Creative Prompt Response: Orange (#9)
Orange was the creative prompt to which this drawing is a response. It doesn’t feel very creative just to draw a bunch of oranges. I like how they fit with my cartoon story.
But It’s not like you just drew a bunch of oranges, though.
Because it’s the way you present the whole image. The overall style, for one thing. Then, the oranges are in color, while the rest of the drawing is primarily black and white. The oranges are part of a street scene, as opposed to being in a still life. All these variables are unique, and present a different treatment and approach than another artist might choose. So it is creative.

Beena: thanks for your comments! I was really going for the street scene look. I have watched enough Law & Order to have an idea of what it should look like.
