Books I Like and Use
I own a lot of quilt books. I am not going to put them all here. I am not even going to put all the books I have reviewed here. I am going to put the books here that I use regularly.
- 3-in-1 Color Tool by Joen Wolfrom
- Adventures in Design: Ultimate Visual Guide, 153 Spectacular Quilts, Activities & Exercises by Joen Wolfrom
- All Points Patchwork by Diane Gilleland – if you don’t know anything about EPP, this is a great reference. There are inspiring photos and supportive comments throughout the book.
- ColorPlay: Easy Steps to Imaginative Color in Quilts by Joen Wolfrom
- Free Expression by Robbi Joy Eklow – I keep this simply for the tutorial on making a sleeve, which is the best, most professional looking sleeve I have seen.
- Magic Design-Ratio Tool: Create Beautifully Balanced Designs Every Time – Unique At-a-Glance Slide Chart by Joen Wolfrom
- Piecing by Ruth McDowell – if you do all the exercises in this book, you will be able to piece anything. This is out of print, so you may need to buy one used or print on demand.
- The Quilter’s Album of Patchwork Patterns – the most amazing book of block patterns. This book provides me with hours of inspiration and fun reading. Even modern quiltmakers can blow up some of the design to quilt size and have fun with a new design.
