Mom’s Pineapple

Last December Mom and I decided to take a Pineapple class on the spur of the moment. I paid for everything as part of her Christmas gift and we took the class together in January. You all know the progress I am making, but my mom has finished hers and it is above. She did a wonderful job and I am so impressed with the finished product. She normally does pieces like Mary Lou Weideman.

Here is a detail.

  1. oooh! mom did a wonderful quilt. i LOVE the colors – that green is so yummy and goes wonderfully with her pineapples.

it’s like a drink of piña colada. or limeade with pineapple.

  2. All: I forwarded all of your comments to my mom and she was thrilled. She knows about blogs, but doesn’t really read them, so she was excited to learn the power of the web. Thanks for stopping by!

Deirdre: mom did not do the quilting. We have a lady that we use.

Vicki: My mom is a great one for bright colors. She is an artist (drawing major) and has an interesting take on color.

Sherry: My mom does quilts that are more like Mary Lou Weideman, so this one was a real stretch for her. She really did a good job on it.

Kristen: I think it would have been great to name it Limeade with Pineapple!
