Tea Towels in Use
Tea Towels in Use

I thought mentioned that I had received some tea towels for Christmas. I can’t find the post, so maybe not.

Carrie made the white tea towels and I love how good they look with my other tea towels. The color scheme in our kitchen is red, white and black. All of our small appliances are red except the toaster oven, which is stainless steel so everything goes together. It is the best decorated room in our house!!

I also like how well these tea towels work. Some tea towels are too thin or not absorbent or don’t dry quickly enough or have some other problem. These have none of those issues. I can dry my hands multiple times while cooking and they feel dry the next time I go to use them. They don’t feel thin either.

Great job, Carrie!

  1. Those are some of my favorite simple gifts to give to people – easy to make, and added to a new cup & a mug rug or a set of new hotpads, its always something people can use. I order my white tea towels on line through Amazon and just take care to get the thick ones – those are SO much nicer to embellish and hold up well for years. You can figure out really quickly which ones are thick by the reviews. I was chuckling as I saw your picture – I have the other 2 tea towels (I love reds!), and that’s where mine hang, too, when not in use.

    1. I agree! I really like giving people items they can use. You may have seen that I am in the middle of making a lot of bags and other items for my mom.

Re: the other tea towels: GREAT minds! 😉

  2. Awe, thank you Jaye for your kind words. I had fun making these tea towels. They couldn’t have gone to a better home. I bought the towels off Amazon and the fabric I used for the accent stripe was from the Moda Sweet Vintage Christmas collection.
