Feelin Blue detail 2

Feelin' Blue Two Halves
Feelin’ Blue Two Halves

My last little sewing jag resulted in half blocks, as I think I mentioned. Of all the half blocks, I think this is the one that I like best. I am surprised that I like this one best, because it has so much non-blue fabric in it. I just love those yellow-greens. JZS was so right when she said that the non-blue colors would end up looking ok. They look better than OK – they look great!

  1. WOW, Jaye! this block looks gorgemous!!! nicely done indeed. i can’t wait to see these blocks when they are finished. it would be cool if BOTH sets (seeing red and feeling blue) could be at the marin show. i am fairly certain the first one was, right? and seeing red was balls, this is blocks. cool cool and cooler!

  2. Thanks for reading my blog! I imagine that Aja, JZS and I will try to have a show with all of the quilts when we get them all done, but it will have to be discussed. It would be great to see them all together. Yes, Seeing Red was in the Marin show last year and you can’t submit them again. Seeing Red was circles. I see that it is not on my website, so I will have to get my act together and post it there or here. Not sure what color or shape is next. Purple Diamonds, maybe?

  3. I’m glad you ended up liking the nonblue colors Jaye. I especially love the flashes of orange. Can’t wait to see what arrangement you come up with.
    And purple diamonds, hmmmmm.

  4. I notice that the blocks look different in different lights. This morning it was very foggy and, thus, my room was very grey. I was back at handwringing about too much non-blue. It was so bright and sunny here when I was sewing it together that the colors all mixed. I guess I have to become one with the fact that the quilt will look different in different lights.

  5. hee hee! purple diamonds, green clovers, pink hearts – the whole group together can be the Lucky Charms!!! 🙂
