Shockingly enough, I saw this word in a spam comment and it stuck in my mind. I think there is a lot we can take from it and use to create, right?
Pound Sterling
1 British pound = 1.6144 U.S. dollars
Sterling silver
Sterling work
Sterling effort
I found a lot of towns and counties which included the name Sterling. I also found tons of companies with Sterling in their name.
See the Creative Prompt page if you have questions about this project.
Post the direct URL (link) where your drawing, doodle, artwork is posted (e.g. your blog, Flickr) in the comments area of this post. It will keep all the artwork together.
The Creative Prompt Project, also, has a Flickr group, which you can join to post your responses. I created this spot so those of you without blogs and websites would have a place to post your responses.
I am caught up on HAND and STERLING now. It has been a whole year of this project! Time for a change. I have been making all the pictures on a full page of my artist sketchbook. To make it easier on me, I am now going to sometimes do smaller drawings so they aren’t as intimidating!

SherriD: you have done an awesome job on this project and I really appreciate you working through all of the responses. Nice work. I think doing smaller drawings is a great idea! Do you do studies? I do studies and then do the final in my Clairefontaine.
lol, thanks Jaye, and your last two sentences are in a foreign language! I have NO idea, so I guess the answer is no? lol
Okay……….better late than never??? http://thequiltrat.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-am-inspiredbut-not-to-doodle.html
BTW Jaye….I am with Sherri……what language is that?

if you want to know what a Clairefontaine is, look here: http://www.shopwritersbloc.com/clairefontaine-drawing-pad–rectangular.html
I have a hardbound black book of blank pages that I use for our CPP. The pages are about 8×11 inches. So you see, my drawings were mostly done on that large area!!! I like the smaller book…that Clairefontaine book. I do not do studies before drawing. I get an idea and might do a few lines in pencil to get the aspect ratio right, before using a black Sharpie to draw it in. I force myself to do it that way…mistakes be damned, full speed ahead! 😀
I started doing the studies because I would have my working journal with me and not my Clairefontaine. I did start out full speed ahead initially. I like doing a little training first. The studies are very quick.
