This project makes me feel like I am beating a dead horse.
I kept making Flying Geese to turn the 16 patches into stars and putting them up sort of higgeldy piggeldy on the design wall. Suddenly, I saw I design that was better than the straight set I had been planning.
I am not sure about the fifth block. If I keep it, where will it go? If I chuck it out, will there be too much white space? The white space will be background fabric – plain white.
This looks like a great solution. I love it. Sadly, I think the orphan block should be left out.
I think the fifth one will be left out. I’ll make it part of a second donation quilt. It will be useful.
Yes. It will be a good starter or filler for another quilt, or a bag. They’re pretty blocks.
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, it would be a good start for another quilt.
I love these stars! The spare could go on the back. You could use the white parts as a label.
I’ll think about that. I might use the 5th star for another quilt.
I like the five blocks. The look is more dynamic and less predictable. I love the look of postage stamps but I may have to copy this on the next one I make.
Please do. It will be a donation quilt for the guild and I didn’t make up the pattern.
If you want a larger quilt, keep the 5th block otherwise I like the idea of a pieced back.
I think I will use 4 stars. Thanks for reading.
I am in love with those stars!
Thanks! Me, too.
