Somehow this story that I seem to be creating is really important. I don’t feel like I am a good enough artist to really do it justice like some of the artists in recent books I have read, but I keep plugging away.
I did a series of the creative prompts all at once listening to music and it was really a different experience. I really got into a creative zone and that felt good.
It’s a bad idea to compare yourself to other artists. I have discovered there is no “better”, there is no “worse”. All there is, is “different”. You have to keep your own unique vision to bring to the table of life, and create because you are passionate about doing so. I like your work, because it isn’t like somebody else’s! Because it is unique.
Beena: excellent advice and I will take it to heart. I do like my drawings and I am learning something, too. Thank you!!!!
YAY for Beena’s advise!!! I like your art Jaye and you can’t tell me any different! So there..neener neener neener!

This is a wonderful drawing….i really love it. It’s not a great idea to compare yourself with other artists – we all have something different and unique to bring to the board!
Love, Violette
Hi Violette,
Yes, Beena reminded me not to compare myself to other artists. I see improvement in my drawings since I started and I am making that good enough for me. Thanks for reading.
