Here is one last choice that I couldn’t resist. I am kind of liking this one best, but I think that is because it is new. I still like the China Cake Plate in the Tarts Cake Plate Conundrum post.

My first thought when I looked at this was “how brown that is!” And then I went back and looked at the earlier pictures and realized that the nothing had changed except the cake plate. I do like this fabric — it’s cheerful. I’m still voting for the paisley though. It still looks more like a plate to me! Of course, the big question, which I do not have enough imagination to answer by myself, is how do the different choices look in the context of the quilt overall?
I must tell you that, thanks to you, I have added a stop at Cupcake Royale to my list of errands for this afternoon…
TQF – that was my thought exactly! It reads much more brown to me than the others.
I like this a lot, but think I like the paisley just a little bit more. I think you could go with either one.
Thanks, all! I am going with the paisley. It looks the best in the overall context of the quilt as well. The dot background is a bit off from the other parts of the quilt, but I like it. I’ll post a pic after I sew it.
oh…. love the fabric used for the plate.. it’s from my ‘Nikki’ line!
Hi Pat,
Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I decided not to use it, but it may end up as a teacher pillow for the 2008/2009 school year. I’ll post here if it does! See some of the previous Teacher Pillows at: https://artquiltmaker.com/blog/2008/08/teacher-pillows-2008
