Swoon Top
Swoon Top
The Swoon top is finished. I am pleased with the way it looks. I want to finish the back and the binding and getting it ready for the quilter. I don’t think this is one I’ll quilt myself.
I love it! It is so different from most of the others I’ve seen. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it is very bright and cheerful.
Does it have an intended home yet?
No intended home yet, though I may have to redecorate one of my rooms in all pink as this is pretty pink and another top on which I am working is also ALL PINK ALL THE TIME! 😉 Not sure what is going on with me and pink, but I’ll just have to go with it for the moment.
Also, I changed the piecing, so there are fewer pieces. I’ll look for the blog post in which I discuss it and let you know (or try to remember to let you know 😉 )
Beautiful! This pattern is on my hope to do one day list.
I love the variety of fabric combinations in this — every one of the blocks looks a little different, and some of them even look like slightly different blocks. Fun!
Thanks! I bought the group when I was with Cathy in Maryland last year (?). Not a line, but they all came together pretty well.
This quilt sings to me:) Most of the swoons I’ve seen were on white or gray background and I like that yours is different. Such a warm color palette.
It started out as a test, but when I had 9 blocks, I had to stop pretending it wasn’t a project. I didn’t have enough fabric to make it with one background. It was fun experimenting with different fabric combinations.
