I spent some time working on sewing the plaid blocks together. I was able to finish the top with only a minimal amount of irritation. There are a few places where I would have changed the blocks if I had been able to see them on the design wall, but didn’t and am not unsewing.
In general, I am pretty pleased with how the piece looks. The yellow is pretty well distributed over the top, so it helps the eye to move around. Now on to back and binding!
Came out really cool! Can’t believe you had so much plaid fabric to work with.
It is old! I collected it for some project A LONG TIME AGO that, apparently, never came to fruition. Glad to be using it up now.
That turned out so great, I love all the movement. It somehow doesn’t just look like plaid, almost like plaid in a plaid in a plaid so that it’s a beautiful wash of color.
Thanks! The blocks are so easy. Yet, the quilt looks really complicated. I wonder if it would look as complicated with other fabrics? I wonder how it would look with solids?
