I just use the fabulous prints that I can buy. As a result, I sometimes get a complex because I don’t dye my own fabric. Melody Johnson has always made quilts that I admire, so I was thrilled to see some new quilts on her blog made with actual commercial prints! WOW! They are very bright and cheerful as well.

This is so funny to me because I am now finished with this series using prints and so relieved to get back to my hand dyeds. What I found is that the prints look like someone else’s quilts and the handdyed ones look like mine. The good thing about quilting is that there is something for everyone’s tastes.
We all gotta do what feels right to us. No guilt.
Thanks for commenting on my blog post. Interesting how we get used to certain kinds of fabric. Do you still have space to dye fabric?
