I did the last bits of the binding on Field Day Zipper on Friday Night. It is finished. I should hold it for the BAMQG meeting, but I want to get it off to the recipient. It is a nice quilt and I hope she will like it.
I showed it at CQFA and people really liked the Sangria background. I was and wasn’t surprised. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

It looks more cheerful in the finished object than it did in the in-process photos. I’m feeling inspired to do this scrappy, with blue and white prints, background TBD. Turquoise, maybe.
I had some good days for photos, too and many of the in process photos were taken on gloomy days. I was glad to get back to the color-as-neutral/background idea that I explored some years ago.
I like the coloured background too. And the backing is fabulous!
Thanks! I don’t remember if I said, but I didn’t think I would use that Alison Glass fabric again, so I wanted to get it out of my closet. It makes a good back.
