I think I have said that I am nearing the end of cutting for FOTY 2015. Here is another batch and I really am about to start laying out the piece.
I just have so many ideas in my head that I can’t seem to corral them in order to make any progress on much of anything.
Hello Jaye, I’ve been following your blog for a while now but I have not found the origin of your FOTY posts. I think it is “Fabric of the Year” but how does it work? Do you clip pieces of fabric you buy or fabric you use and then put these pieces into a FOTY quilt? Sorry I am so far behind but I would appreciate just a few lines so that I can understand what you are doing. Thank you! gayle
Plenty of greys in there. Nice.
Hi Gayle,
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. You can find more about the Fabric of the Year quilts on the series page: https://www.artquiltmaker.com/blog/quilts-2/series-quilts/fabric-of-the-year-quilts/. It tells how the project started and a little about my thinking.
I have a link to the gallery at the top of the blog page. You can find all sorts of information about my quilts there. I gather and combine the variety of information from the in progress blog posts on a page for each quilt I have made.
I keep buying greys for the Flying Geese project. You can see the fabrics from the Flowerburst quilt in this group.
I always love watching these pieces come together. It’s like a glimpse into your creative process!
Thanks! Sometimes I think it must be so boring for readers. I am glad you enjoy it.
